    1. Yip, Andrew. (1997) Attacking the attackers: Gay Christians talk back. The British Journal of Sociology 48(1), 113-127.

Yip, Andrew (1997) analyses the accounts of 60 Christian homosexual men, in how they interact with the official position of the Christian Church regarding homosexuality

Yip, Andrews (1997) suggest that there is a process of validation that homosexual men undertake that would allow them to attend church without the stigmatization effects of orthodox. The first being: “Attacking the stigma”. The second process described as “Positive personal experiences”. The third “Ontogenetic argument”. The fourth “attacking the stigmatizer”.

Yip, Andrews (1997 implies that a symbiotic relationship can exist between the LGBT community and the Christian Community. More importantly it describes how an individual from the LGBT community comprehend with the negative attitudes of the Church .

Yip, Andrews (1997) reinforces the idea that animosity between the LGBT community and the Christian community continue to persist and that the dominance is with the Christian Community. Although co

Walton, Gerald (2008) interviewed 8 homosexual men to form a description as to the relationship between how the Church affected the LGBT men.

Walton, Gerald (2008). Through the interviews of the 8 homosexual men, it was concluded that common strategies were composed to aid in the assimilation  of homosexuality and the church. The first being “Biblical Interpretation”. The second being “A Christianity in question”. “The third is choice”

Walton, Gerald (2008) validates how some individuals of the LGBT community interact with the Church. It appears to be very similar to the findings of Yip, Andrews (1997) from a different jurisdiction. The importance of this is again it validates how a community adapts to hostilities.

Locke, Kenneth. (2005). Examines the Bible and explains to how negative attitudes were produced through biblical text.

Locke, Kenneth. (2005), will bring forth evidence where the bible presences prohibited actions that are largely ignored in the modern day church. This suggests that not everything in the bible should be followed and is not in practice in the modern day.

Locke, Kenneth. (2005) discussion on the references of prohibiting homosexual acts in the bible, Gen 19:1-11, lev 18:22, Roman 1:26-27, Cor 6:9 and 1st Tim, 1:10. Within the above biblical versus Locke challenges the interpretation of the versus

Locke, Kenneth. (2005) brings the topic of, submission of females, that no female will lead men. As such Adam did not receive sin without the process of Eve, therefore resulting in the condemned of man. Other versus suggest that man should not engage in intercourse during a woman’s menstruations. The importance of this is too allow the readers to understand that modern society pick and choose what they see fit in the bible and raises the question why homosexuality is still the topic of negative prejudice.

Constance, Sullivan. (2004). Originally based on how an LGBT individual adapts to the Christian faith. The research that was conducted was discoursed to understanding how four drag queens drawn from the 23 participants of the LGBT community.

Constance, Sullivan. (2004). Adopts the idea of “upsetting the nature order”, regarding one of the reasons why Christians condemn homosexual activity.

Constance, Sullivan.(2004). Follows a discussion on adopting the native American ideas of the two spirited men, where as they carry both the qualities of men and female qualities. This is validating the behaviour of the sample drag queens and dismissing the Christian alternatives.

Constance, Sullivan (2004. During the interviews will bring up the nothing of “All men are Dogs” this will be concluded as the argument that men are innately more promiscuous then females and within a relationship of god they strive to maintain a one partner rule or monogamy relationships. Once the establishment of a monogamy relationship the focus will then be to ignore the promiscuous behaviour innate in men and thus is the command of god.

Barton, (2010) Through observation and interview of 46 lesbian and homosexual men and outcome of disparity is concluded when interacting in close proximity with the church. This research is very important as it concludes that the LGBT community will result in negative social consequences that result in close proximity to the Christian Belt.

Barton, (2010) Defines the Christian Belt of the United States to be the southern, eastern states where Christianity is the dominate religion. It is the area where Christian influences the cities government and social media. It overtakes much of the social interactions within that regional state.

Barton, (2010) the homosexual interviewees resulted in the consequences of “isolation, abuse, rejection from, friends ,family, peers, internal struggle with psychological struggling with the attraction of the same sex. Most importantly is the negative consequence of “knowing that you’re going to hell” because of your sexual orientation.

Chambers, S. (2010). In his literature discussed and segregated legislation and moralization as two different entities by Pierre Elliot Trudeau and the Liberal government

Chambers, S. (2010) Will introduce the notion that Bill C150 was influenced by the British and the Americans the first was the Wolfenden Report. In the Wolfenden Report it was explained that homosexuality was not a disease of the mind nor was it pathological. Near the end of the Wolfenden Report there was two recommendations that resulted from the committee, the first was that homosexual acts should not be considered to be criminal and two consent and private would defined.

Chambers, S. (2010). Continues with Klippert v. The Queen inquiring that it set a fundamental precedent. Klippert was convicted of the act of buggery. The act of buggery is the act of sex against the will of God and man. Klippert appealed to the supreme course of Canada on the grounds that he should not be labelled a sexual offender. The main points of the precedent are that intercourse between same sex partners happen in private, between consenting adults and without harm. Trudeau wrote the amendments to the criminal code decriminalizing homosexual acts.

Masher et al.(2008) Research was conducted to produce results regarding homosexual opinion by undergraduate students. 20 statements regarding religious controversial topic were presented to the sample. The hypothesis was that samples who respond that homosexual behaviours were wrong would correlate with other topics of sexuality.

Masher et al. (2008) results were that the hypothesis was rejected. As a result the question at hand was not if homosexuality was wrong but rather it was a question of the authority of the church.

Masher et al. (2008) In conclusion it was noted that the sample population; questioned the authority of the church regarding homosexual activities if there was a homosexual person in that sample’s life.

Masher et al. (2008) the importance of this article is that, the authority of church is in question. Theyounger population are more likely to accept homosexual behaviours.

Eeckout. Et al (2011), present the idea that Belgium to be one of the most advance nations regarding the protection of the LGBT community. Such protection stems from the second nation to awarded constitutional rights to the LGBT community.

Eeckout. Et al (2011), the issue is that a paradox exist within Belgium regarding the rights of the LGBT community. Such contentions as the majority of the population follow the catholic religion. The majority of the population see themselves as a conservative government population. Belgium is also surrounded by counties that have not established on par laws regulating LGBT.

Eeckout Et Al(2011), The importance of this article is to grasp an understanding of another nations attempt to establish LGBT forefront legislation. By viewing how another nation is compelled on establishing rights for the LGBT even through a paradoxical situation. It becomes possible to establish

Smith Et al. (2008) compared the experiences of members of Earth Spirited religion to Judeo Christian. It was suggested that those that are from the Earth Spirited religion where less concerned with their acceptance then there Judeo Christian counter-parts.

Smith Et Al, (2008) conducted the research through content analyses through, online discussion, online forums.  1257 participants responded and identified themselves as an individual from the LGBT community of that sample size 179 were from the earth spirited religion.  A nominal scale was used to analyse perception of their religion through surveys.

Smith Et Al, (2008) results suggest that through comparison that earth spirited religion are more affirming to its members then the Judeo Christians.

Note: The importance of this study is that is suggests an alternative to oppression and prejudice through a change of religion. As a simple comparison and only suggest that there are alternatives to faith. Issues regarding the article to the current research are that change of faith is an option but argues if it is a viable option. The question if participants are willing to change religion was not answered and would have been highly important to the research. In the argument of faith one cannot usually pick and choose what is implemented in religion.

Hooghe Et al (2010), data was collect through the Comparative Youth Survey that was conducted in Belgium and in Canada from 2005 to 2006. The sample size of Belgium is 6330 all grade ten students. The sample size of Canada is 3334 from 82 schools. The mean age of the participants is 16 years old. The research was conducted in an overt survey that was obvious to measure attitudes of homosexuality.

Hooghe et al (2010) produced a table with variables that allow for a strong comparison to be done. Such variables are difference in country Belgium to Canada. Continuing with female to male and Protestant, Orthodox, Catholic, other Christian faith, Muslim, Jewish, other religion and not religious.

Hooght et al (2010) results suggest that males have higher intolerance of gay rights then females. Those that are not religious allows for the greatest tolerance for gay rights. Of religion Muslims showed the lowest tolerance to gay rights.

Hooght et al (2010) produces a very good comparison between two countries that advocate for gay rights as part of their law.

  • Proactive questions

The policy maker’s invariable solution is to demand more resources for law enforcement. And states additional personal, firepower, hi tech gadgetry, thinking objectively “personal” include, police, corrections, courts and all its civilian members of their respected departments. Firepower and hi tech gadgetry involve, factory workers, designers, marketing and all other respected occupations. This amounts to thousands of job occupation. Therefore, those who have a job making money could be considered decent and not committing violence crimes. By that regard why is policy maker’s invariable solution so bad?

What is it about the black inner city community that results in the endurance of persistence disadvantage, racial segregation and structural inequality?
